Every week, students will enjoy various theme-based activities, specifically designed to allow them to explore and study the theme of the week. They have engaged specialists to help design and teach students at the highest levels.
Schedule Blooming Brains Summer Academy runs Monday - Friday, July 10 - August 25 from 8:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Before and after-school care is also available. They have 2, 3 and 5 days per week options available and you can sign up for just specific weeks or the full academy. |

July 10 - 14: Around The World In 5 Days
Grab your passport and join us as we explore the people, food, environment, culture, music, dance and topography of different parts of the world. We will read stories, look at photos and study famous sites in all corners of the world. Get ready to learn how to say a few things, including hello, in a few languages! July 17 - 21: Culinary Creations Ever wanted to learn how to make a simple meal or snack that is delicious and nutritious? Join us for a week of fun with food as we learn how simple ingredients can come together to create tasty treats. We will stay away from nut products to keep everyone safe. We will also study some famous chefs, read some funny cooking stories, explore how food is made around the world and create a school recipe book. July 24 - 28: Invention Convention Every day we will solve a ‘problem’ by building a solution with various materials. Whether it’s Legos, wood and glue or Velcro, students will have plenty of stuff to build their creations. We will emphasize team work, creativity and problem-solving skills. July 31 - August 4: Music Mania Join us for a fun week of learning about music! We will explore different genres of tunes and explore the ways that different people use music in their everyday life. Students will have the opportunity to create their own piece of music and perform it at an all-school concert at the end of the week. |
August 6 - 11: Dance Fever!
Join us for a fun week of learning different types of dances. Let your body groove to sounds from the 1900s to the 2000s as we learn some of the most basic dance steps. Enjoy watching performances from different dance troupes and participate in an all-school dance party on the last day. August 13 - 18: Animal Planet Channel your inner zookeeper and join us for this exploration of animals big and small! We will study some of our two-legged, four-legged and no-legged friends as we explore the wide world of the Animal Kingdom. You will have an opportunity to talk about your favorite animal and design a class pet. August 21 - 25: Weird Science Join us as we delve into the three main branches of science (Biology, Chemistry and Physics) for a week of fun experiments, investigative adventures, building projects and in the spirit of ending the summer with a bang, maybe even a few explosions! |
