What Parents Are Saying About Camp Ho Mita Koda
“My little Rayna has made leaps and bounds this year. Last year was her first year at camp which was kind of a struggle. Very shy, she believed that only she had diabetes and no other kids. When she first got there she was nervous and got one foot on the rock wall. This year completely different child. She loves how her camp staff helped encourage her and because of that, she made it halfway up the wall. She even made it to the high ropes that she has yet to stop talking about. Camp has shown her that she isn’t alone and that it’s her second home away from home. Her confidence has built over these past few days and I’m amazed at how well she is doing. She now realizes she isn’t alone with her diabetes and she has even made lifelong friends because of camp who are just like her. Thank you so much for everything and you guys kept her so stable this week!”
